Who is it for?
The Niftylift Maintenance course is suitable for anyone who services or maintains a Niftylift or even those responsible for allocating service jobs as an operating knowledge of the machines is often advantageous.
We now offer different levels of training to suit your needs:
Familiarisation
This will give participants an introduction to who Niftylift are and our core values plus an understanding of the machine logic on how the different models operate. This will also include basic machine checks to do before use.
Workshop/Service
This will cover what requirements are needed to maintain the machine in its optimal performance. We will also cover the machine electric and hydraulic schematic drawings to understand the machine design.
Diagnostic
This is aimed at experienced engineers and is fully hands-on training. Participants will need to be C.A.P. approved or equivalent to apply for this level of training. Proof of certification will be required.
What will I learn?
Courses are flexibly structured to meet the needs of those attending. Models are presented where possible to match those owned or operated by the people who attend. As many are covered as is reasonable in the time allowed. Each machine model presented is explained for the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic mode of operation.
Each level of training will give the engineer all the information that they will need to carry out their job on a Niftylift machine.
What will I get?
Hard copy examples of each mode of operation are given for each course, covering as many design variations for each model as possible. At the end of the course a "Certificate of Attendance" is issued which counts towards some qualification requirements and the working knowledge of the machines will enable any competently trained fitter to fault-find and address most problems.
At the end of each course, there will be a test paper. Correctly completing the test paper and continuous evaluation during practical tasks will produce a certificate of training. This can be sent to the company of the engineer upon request to the service department. No certificate will be issued on the day of the training.
How long does it take?
Usually, 1 day depending on the number of models covered.
All training will start at 09:00 and finish at 16:00 unless stated in your confirmation email. There is also a 30-minute lunch break with lunch provided and regular drink breaks. Please ensure to state any food requirements or allergies in the NOTES section on the request form.
Where can I go?
You can do the training at Niftylift's Training Centre in Milton Keynes or at your premises as long as there are sufficient numbers and the appropriate venue and machinery for the training course content.
All the training will be carried out at our Stonebridge site in Milton Keynes. All courses will have a maximum of 6 participants. This will mean that there could be engineers from multiple companies on the same course.
