OTE's of up to £35,000 per year (after successful completion of in-house training)!
Permanent role, ongoing progression encouraged with associated skill structure pay increases, potential for regular overtime at enhanced rates, plus business bonuses performance bonuses calculated weekly, paid each month.
Role Overview:
We are looking for Trainee Manufacturing Technicians to join our growing, friendly team, at Niftylift! The role is based at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes.

The Trainee Production / Manufacturing Technician Role requires dynamic team players with a can-do attitude with some demonstratable previous experience of hands-on mechanical assembly / disassembly techniques that have the will and want to train to become a hands-on skilled Assembly Technician.
Training will be provided to further develop your mechanical assembly skills, along with basic training in hydraulics, electrical wiring and installation, hand fitting and the ability to read all necessary drawings / schematics. Iyou will also need to be able to demonstrate suitable knowledge of the importance of safety, quality and housekeeping requirements within a manufacturing environment. The role requires operating to high quality / workmanship standards within a world-class manufacturing team and facility.
Experience required to apply for the role:
- Practical experience of hands-on mechanical assembly / disassembly techniques.
- Able to work with standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Understanding of the importance of safety, quality and housekeeping requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Drive, focus and enthusiasm to succeed and progress.
Working Hours & Salary:
Hours will be 08.00 - 16.30 Monday - Friday with required (mandatory) structured overtime dependent on Production output requirements.
Guaranteed hourly starting rate of £12.86 per hour (this can increase to £15.54 per hour once further product skills appraised).
Overtime: paid at a premium rate (x1.5 or x2.0 depending on hours worked)
Level A - Overtime paid at premium rate of £19.29 per hour (i.e. x 1.5).
Level B – Overtime paid at premium rate of £25.72 per hour (i.e. x 2.0).
*Additional Weekly Bonus: Weekly calculated business performance bonus £50 to £100+ per week (guaranteed minimum of £50 per week). *Payable after successful completion of training.
Further Annual Bonus: £500 per annum (for ref. only, based on recent average).
Key Responsibilities and Duties after your training:
- Efficient and correct to specification Mechanical assembly, hydraulic installation, electrical wiring, and hand fitting operations, linked to the manufacture, service, and repair of access platforms.
- Competent build inspection of all stages.
- Compliance with health and safety standards, flexibility, and development of skills through the complete manufacturing process, and the production / product cells.
- Maintain a high standard of 5’s workplace organisation. Continuous improvement/elimination of waste, through ‘Lean Manufacturing techniques / tools.
- Working as a team to achieve customer quality, delivery, cost, and innovation requirements.
- Training others.
