Introduction
The Quality Assurance & Control Technician will provide quality control support to Manufacturing areas, conduct inspections to control, monitor and ensure build integrity. They will collect and process measurement data, and develop / maintain quality control documentation. The successful candidate will facilitate root cause analysis and structured implementation of preventative solutions to quality concerns through external supply, internal build, finished product standards adherence and customer issues / support. They will also be responsible for Quality KPI’ s and reporting at Stakeholder meetings.
Working Hours
The working hours for this role will be 40 basic hours per week, 08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Friday, with structured overtime requirements.

The Role in More Detail
- Support quality issues with Build
- Inspect / Measure / Investigate non-conforming parts including rejects
- Raise QN/QR quality concerns
- Raise NLY & Process including IQN
- Manage reduction of line quality related KPI's. QR/QN,FDF,IQN,NLY, CFB, PDI
- Control supplier returns & Quarantine
- Support Stakeholder meeting.
- Request Production resource for hands on rectification.
- Maintain iAuditor in process inspection structure.
- Customer feedback checks
- Stock checks for quality related issues.
- Concessions
- Containment of all line quality issues until proven prevention in place.
- Stock accuracy of quality locations
- Hands-on calibration checks for allocated areas.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in engineering / manufacturing practices; Mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural fabrication / welding.
- Accredited inspector qualification, e.g. PCN level 1 for welding inspection
- Ability to use measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Computer literate – with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint also Access but not essential.
- Experience, and knowledge of the assembly of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms
- ONC or equivalent qualification
- Ability to work within a team structure
- Good Organisation Skills.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2008/ 2015)
- Experience of a production manufacturing system (SAP, Visual).
- Knowledge and ability to carry out machine weight tests and PDI (Pre-delivery inspection of machines) would be an advantage.
