Introduction
The Project Engineer works within the Product Engineering team, supporting a product’s progression from concept into a lean production environment.
Working Hours
The working hours for the role will be 40 basic hours per week, 08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Friday.

The Role in More Detail
- Implement Niftylift’s processes, methods, and templates for project engineering on individual projects.
- Review the product’s CAD assembly model and the Engineering Bill of Materials.
- Create and maintain the Manufacturing Bill of Materials for prototype machine builds.
- Determine priorities on individual projects and ensure prototypes are built to deadlines.
- Attend regular stakeholder meetings to ensure deliverables meet deadlines
- Liaise with business stakeholders, including Purchasing, Quality, Production Engineering, and Service during the early project phases to ensure their requirements are considered during design and prototype development.
- Work with Production Engineers and Design Engineers to establish and document, safe and logical machine assembly sequences.
- Update project-specific tracking documents to ensure project statuses are accurate.
- Support the Project Manager and Lead Engineer to facilitate prototype build activities and ensure that the necessary parts and information are available to the Development Technicians.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in a project environment or in managing product configurations.
- HND or Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing & Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering).
- Competent in MS Office.
