Niftylift is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), better known to many as cherry pickers. From our world headquarters in Milton Keynes, we design and build compact, low-weight articulated booms that deliver maximum performance at height with minimal environmental impact, and we export them to customers all over the world.
Founded by Roger Bowden in 1985, we have grown from a garden shed in Bedfordshire into a global business, without ever losing the engineering-led thinking that started it all. Our very first machine, the Nifty 120, remains in production today.

Engineering with Purpose
Everything we build starts with a simple principle: a lighter, smarter machine is better for the operator, the site and the planet. Lower weight means easier transport, reduced ground pressure and lower energy consumption. That philosophy has driven every Niftylift innovation, from the original trailer mounts to today's all-electric and hydrogen-electric machines.
We use advanced 3D modelling and rigorous physical testing to optimise every aspect of our product design, so that every Niftylift work platform delivers outstanding performance without compromising functionality or reliability. Safety innovations such as SiOPS®, ToughCage and ClipOn were pioneered here and have helped raise standards across the powered access industry.
A Message from Our Founder
"When I built our first machine, I believed a work platform could be lighter, simpler and better for the people who use it and the world it works in. That belief still guides everything we do. We owe our success to our employees, our customers, our suppliers and our community, and we repay that debt the same way we always have: by making sustainable choices, building products we are proud of, and leaving things better than we found them for the generations to come."
