The General Operative Role requires a dynamic team player with proven experience, skills and knowledge in operating non CNC machines. The role requires operating to high quality workmanship standards within a world class manufacturing team and facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

Required to work within a dedicated team responsible for the operation of machinery use in the manufacture of steel components. This will include manual reaming of finished products, operating a radial arm drill, pre-cleaning and post-cleaning of products and assembly of painted chassis'. Support to the fabrication/welding team as required.

Working Hours & Salary:

Working hours will be: Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:30 (30 mins unpaid lunch break) Friday 07:30-13:30 - 40 hours per week

Guaranteed basic starting salary £12.91 x 40 hours per week plus guaranteed minimum £50 per week bonus - £29,452.00 plus overtime paid at premium rates outlined below:

Level A - Overtime paid at premium rate of £19.37 per hour (i.e. x 1.5).

Level B – Overtime paid at premium rate of £25.82 per hour (i.e. x 2.0).

Monthly bonus aligned to business performance that equates to total bonus payments of £280 - £350 per month on average (for reference only).

Experience:

• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience of using jigs and assembly fixtures to manufacture high quality repetitive components.
• Experience of using gauges and measuring equipment for inspection purposes.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) grade 4 or above
