Niftylift Named STEM Award Finalist at MKEA 2026
Recognising our commitment to inspiring the next generation
Friday 24 April 2026
Niftylift is proud to announce that its Learning and Development team has been shortlisted for the STEM Award at the Milton Keynes Education Awards 2026.
The awards, organised by Milton Keynes Education Awards, celebrate excellence and innovation across the local education sector. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Friday 19th June 2026 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Milton Keynes.
This shortlisting recognises Niftylift’s ongoing commitment to supporting science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, both within the business and across the wider Milton Keynes community.

Investing in Future Talent
Niftylift has long placed a strong emphasis on developing skills and creating opportunities for the next generation of engineers. A significant proportion of its workforce is made up of apprentices and trainees, reflecting a long-term commitment to nurturing talent from within.
The company’s Learning and Development team plays a central role in this approach, delivering structured training programmes, supporting career progression, and ensuring that employees have the skills needed to thrive in a fast-moving engineering environment.
Supporting STEM in the Community

Beyond its internal programmes, Niftylift is actively engaged in supporting STEM education across local schools. Initiatives such as the RC Nifty Schools competition give students hands-on experience of engineering, helping to bring classroom learning to life and inspire future career pathways.
These outreach activities are often supported by Niftylift apprentices, providing them with valuable opportunities to develop leadership and communication skills while acting as ambassadors for the industry.
Recognition at the Milton Keynes Education Awards
Being shortlisted for the STEM Award highlights the impact of Niftylift’s efforts in education and skills development. The Milton Keynes Education Awards celebrate organisations and individuals who make a meaningful contribution to learning and development across the region.
This recognition reflects not only the work of the Learning and Development team, but also the wider culture within Niftylift, where innovation, continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing are embedded in everyday operations.
Looking Ahead
As Niftylift continues to grow, investing in people and skills remains a key priority. By supporting both its own workforce and the wider community, the company is helping to build a stronger, more sustainable future for the engineering sector.
The team looks forward to attending the awards ceremony in June and celebrating alongside other organisations that are making a difference in education across Milton Keynes.
Congratulations to everyone involved, and best of luck on the night.
