Role in more detail:
Update Paint Planner daily with chassis delivery status, WIP status, and liaise with Sales and Purchasing Materials Controllers at MK to manage changes to the plan and report any delays to deliveries.
Daily audit and maintenance of build plan to identify and communicate issues and requirements to reschedule the build sequence (e.g. shortages, quality issues, engineering issues etc) and highlight where completion dates have / will slip (Production management to review and set weekly completion dates);
Provision of production administration / clerical resource to including developing, running and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly reports (e.g. KPI tables and graphs, skills matrices, filing/scanning activities etc);
Review weekly output serial numbers from op. 790 of works orders and check all labour and material transactions are complete. Report all variances via Sunrise Meeting. Process and progress all material requisitions within 24 hours of receipt;
Review all requisitions for action required and progress directly, or with relevant support department. Stock missing, but on works order amendments to be amended via recorded manual adjustment by production/Inventory controller. Close open requisitions in time for MRP overnight updates;
Identify how many and why requisitions are being raised within production and minimise/prevent;
Investigate all stock losses for accuracy of BOM, advise production engineering of any amendment requirements. Trace stock adjustment requirement by checking machine bookings, stock physically issued etc to generate an accurate figure for any amendments. Identify the root causes of all Stock loss/gains and communicate to the management team. Advise preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence;
Audit and process SDIR investigations/adjustments. Investigate and log all SDIR stock losses/gains. Authorise and amend ERP Visual system, in line with stock quantity amendments (including approval and filing of each SDIR in network folder). Carry out analysis and investigation of any repeat part number with SDIR’ s within the same rolling 12 month period;
Schedule and organise stock cycle checks, and main stock takes. Develop and streamline processes. Develop SOP and schedules of completion. Project management of the stock takes. Investigate and report on all variances. Maintain a fully structured cycle check & stock take files (including pre-check sheets, count sheets, audit sheets, and performance reports. Compile and issue stock performance measures for all locations/departments;
Investigate and report all excessive stock levels, including parameter checks;
Audit and amend internal kanban levels in line with changing demand characteristics/run rates within ERP Visual system, amending safety stocks to match demand;
Audit, amend and communicate internal kanban min/max changes aligned to build rates, through liaison with production management;
Attend the Tuesday morning Sunrise meeting. Take/issue minutes (Tuesday afternoon) and progress all parts related issues with relevant departments (Production, Design, Purchasing, Q.A., Stores, Service, etc);
Audit and report stores ABC category and unique/common systems. Audit of parts that are incorrectly located, ref stores structure rules on co-location and rack or Linbin;
Review of obsolete stock (sell, convert, reduce/spares or keep analysis). Constantly review and define action required (if any), on parts that have not had a transaction (in the past rolling year);
Raise internal works orders, register and monitor completion and book to stock. Clean down system where required;
Issue weekly works order audit report to logistics and Production Management for verification, make any required corrections/ amendment and report accuracy KPI to Sunrise Meeting;
Run weekly / monthly reports to audit condition/status of incorrect stock. Audit, report and action correction of:
- Unavailable locations for parts with +/- stock.
- Locations not on the main register with stock in.
- Minus stock level parts.
- Temp location parts.
- Plus various other weekly / monthly stock monitoring reports.
Update and maintain document files to comply with HMRC document control requirements for import traceability
Ensuring all related company procedures are audited and complied with.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficient with MRP (SAP type) system;
- Familiarity with stock control systems in manufacturing;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite of applications in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
