Project Engineer - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Overview:

The Project Engineer will work within the New Product Development team, supporting projects progression from concept into a lean production environment.

Main Tasks:

  • Facilitate the smooth assembly of concept, prototype and pre-production machines;
  • Assist project managers with the daily completion of project tasks;
  • Support project stakeholders to achieve predetermined targets;
  • Prepare and check project documentation to support project goals, and liaise with stakeholders as required;
  • Inspect prototype component parts and report non-conformances to suppliers.  Work with the supplier to establish corrective actions to prevent future occurrences and liaise with Design Engineers for lessons learned;
  • Work with Production Engineers and Design Engineers to establish and document, effective and logical machine assembly sequences. Generate standard operating procedures to support its assembly;
  • Update project-specific tracking documents to ensure project statuses are accurate;
  • Attend daily build meetings and report on actions;
  • Create and document formal procedures for product realisation activities.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role and the organisation's overall business objectives, this may include the training and mentoring of colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer;
  • Engineering degree;
  • MS Office skills;
  • Decision making ability and leadership skills;
  • Time management and organisation skills.
