Development Technician (Pre-Production) - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire


Responsible to the Development Team Leader, this role offers the right candidate an opportunity to work in dynamic development environment.

Role in more detail:

  • Undertake the assembly of Prototype machines, using GA drawings.
  • Modifying components using typical workshop techniques  E.g. cutting, drilling, tapping etc.
  • Perform productionisation activities on Prototype machines, validating their production requirements E.g Operational Instructions, Fasteners and Tooling, and ensuring that volume assembly methodology is utilised.
  • Undertaking the build of Pre-Production machines.
  • Oversee the operation of the Pre-Production line and report on the lines daily KPI's.
  • Undertake training of the Production team set to inherit the finished product.
  • Work safely to standard operating procedures.
  • Fault-find own work and assist with machine commissioning.
  • Maintain high standards of workplace organisation and cleanliness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Apprenticeship, City & Guilds qualification.
  • Min 3 years industry experience in a development technician role.
  • Characteristics:
